Nourish your hair with an oil bath (prepoo)

The essential step in any afro hair routine

Nourish your hair with an oil bath (prepoo)

Your hair needs to be nourished with oil baths, masks and treatments, but also with a balanced diet.

Let’s see why and how to do oil baths, because afro hair lacks sebum and essential fatty acids and they help to fight against dryness and breakage.

Why?

Oil baths coat the hair, covering the hair fiber with a layer that protects it from damage like that of shampoo.

How do you do it?

Separate detangled hair (wet or dry) into sections, distribute your oil bath from root to tip, section by section, massaging well.
.
You can also use a spray bottle: pour in your oil bath and some warm water, shake and apply to your hair. Then, cover your hair in a bonnet, towel, etc. for a better effect.

Leave it in for at least 45 minutes, during which time you can work out, tidy up, run errands - the time will fly by!

You can even leave it in overnight!

To rinse out your oil bath:

It is important to choose a gentle shampoo that won’t strip your hair and cancel out all the benefits of the oil bath. Two washes are necessary to emulsify the water/oil/shampoo mixture, so take the opportunity to massage your scalp again and activate microcirculation. Don't focus too much on the lengths, this will protect them for several days.

We recommend the Multi-Use Oil Cocktail, composed of 4 oils with ultra-nourishing and regenerating powers, Grape Seed Oil | Olive Oil | Macadamia Oil | Shea Oil, this cocktail of vegetable oils for hair is a product with multiple benefits. For dry and damaged hair, it can be used as an oil bath before shampooing or as a serum on the lengths and ends. For strong hair, full of vitality!

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THIS COCKTAIL OF 4 VEGETABLE OILS FOR CURLY TO KINKY HAIR?

- Grape seed oil has strong penetrating power within the hair fiber. It is an essential vegetable oil for kinky, curly and coily hair. This oil deeply nourishes dry and damaged hair. It softens dry ends and fights against hair growth problems. This non-greasy oil also moisturizes the scalp.
- Rich in antioxidants, olive oil needs no introduction as its benefits have been known and recognized for many years. As far as hair is concerned, olive oil deeply nourishes, enhances, repairs very dry and damaged hair, such as kinky hair, and leaves it shining.
- Thanks to Macadamia oil, the hair fiber is hydrated and protected from external damage: wind, intense cold, sun exposure, pollution, etc. Macadamia oil also helps protect color-treated hair.
- Shea butter has been used for many years in West Africa for its extraordinary benefits on the skin and hair. Shea butter hydrates kinky, curly and coily hair. It is one of the best oils for dry, brittle, dull and damaged hair. Rich in vitamins, this oil also moisturizes and repairs the scalp.
