The pineapple technique for coily and kinky hair

The Famous Pineapple Technique

Today we are talking about pineapples. But no... we are not going to talk about dieting ;))
I'm just going to let you in on our little secret tricks to avoid waking up with tangled hair and to protect curls and waves from pillow frizz.

The pineapple technique is an ultra-simple and ultra-effective method for all those who are in a hurry but don't want to wake up looking like a haystack, with an hour's worth of treatments.
But what is this famous "pineapple technique"???

At bedtime, gather your hair on the top of your head, smoothly and towards the front of your head. If your hair is too long and it falls a little over your eyes, this won’t keep you from sleeping.

So gather your hair, but don't make it too tight to avoid pulling and putting a mark in the curls. Opt for scrunchies and satin scrunchies over elastics, they are more "hair-friendly” and won’t break your hair.
Then separate this ponytail in two and - if necessary - keep the ends together with large flat clips.

Use a satin pillowcase because cotton pillowcases absorb moisture. In addition, cotton is rougher than silk or satin: it causes frizz, breaks fibers and curls, and causes split ends. We have enough trouble keeping our curly hair nourished and hydrated, don’t let a pillow destroy all that work overnight!

But Kairly Paris has the solution for you: wrap your hair in our satin cap that will decrease the friction between your hair and your pillow.

It's soft and your hair will love it! You can also recycle silk scarves by tying them behind the pillow, silk is perfect for achieving “hair peace” and it is a quick and easy solution.

Have a good night and if you wake up with a few rebellious strands, spray them lightly with Refresh Curl Spray and simply roll them back into shape with your finger. As a finishing touch, use a few drops of castor oil to nourish your curls and you're ready to go. At this rate, you can keep your curls for at least 4 or 5 days before doing a Wash & Go routine (article coming soon).
